If you have never done this fast before, we are so excited for you! You will not believe the awareness that self-denial can bring especially when it comes to the most natural things like eating, drinking, and our time spent in doing whatever it is we please. What you may find is that you have cravings that you are not even aware of – some of which you feed as a habit or a weakness. We pray that this fast will truly open your eyes to the hold of the flesh that fights against our spirit daily and to be able to connect with God in such a way that you seek after Him as you hunger for the natural (and the truly “carnal” or fleshly things).
